Mentor Offer SPA MPQC Mineral Products Contractor Safety Passport Open Courses
25th August 2017
The SPA MPQC accredited Mineral Products Contractor Safety Passport was introduced to ensure competence in contractors when working on mineral product sites, and to reduce the risk of incidents and accidents on site. The passport is nationally recognised and has become an expectation for contractors working on sites in the mineral products industry to hold.
The Contractor Safety Passport is a 2-day course and valid for 3 years from the date of completion, after three years a 1 day refresher course should be undertaken. Day one of the initial course covers basic health and safety, day 2 applies this knowledge specifically to the quarrying sector. Over the two-day course delegates will cover health and safety management of quarries, lifting operations, excavations, confined spaces and working at height on day 2. Holders of some health and safety qualifications will be exempt from day 1 of the course, see here for more details.
On completion of the course, delegates will also achieve a Level 2 MPQC award in Understanding Safe Working for Contractors in Extractives and Building Products Industries Sites (QCF) in addition to the safety passport.
We run open courses at our training centres across the UK for the 2-day initial course and 1-day refresher course. Alternatively, the training can be carried out your site at your convenience.
Mentor’s next SPA MPQC Mineral Products Contractor Safety Passport open course is running on the 25th & 26th September. To book or for more information, call Mentor Training Solutions on 01246 386900.
