National Apprenticeship Week 2018
11th March 2018
We are delighted to have been supporting National Apprenticeship Week this March after our recent venture into providing apprenticeship training began when we were approved as a lead provider in early 2017.
We were introduced and encouraged by our customers in the Mineral Extraction industry to support them with apprenticeships. Each customer, aware that with an average workforce of 50+ years, looming retirements and a shortage of skills, need to consider how to better attract new talent into the industry whilst investing in their current workforce and utilising their levy bills.
The first standard approved was the Mineral Processing Mobile and Static Plant Operator apprenticeship and we are thrilled to be working on this standard with our customers. We are currently awaiting allocations of funding caps in order to implement Weighbridge Operator and Laboratory Technician apprenticeships into the Mentor business.
We have been working closely with a number of employers and specialist training providers on our apprenticeship programmes and have provided an insight across all our social media channels on how this is beneficial to both the apprentice and the employer throughout National Apprenticeship Week.
For more information and advice on apprenticeships, get in touch with our apprenticeship team on 01246 263443 / firstname.lastname@example.org and keep up-to-date with us on social media for regular apprenticeship updates and news!
